Acceptance
These terms are a contract between you and Voltu Energy. By creating an account or using the app or website, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What Voltu is, and is not
Voltu helps you find chargers, see how often they actually work, understand access and price, and start and pay for a charge over the open network. Voltu is an information and connectivity service. We do not own or operate the chargers, and we do not guarantee that a charger will be working, free, or available when you arrive. We report the evidence we have; the operator runs the hardware.
Your account
Keep your sign-in secure and give us accurate details. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a contract under Indian law to use paid features.
Acceptable use
- Do not submit false reports or try to move a charger’s grade dishonestly.
- Do not scrape, overload, probe or attempt to breach the service, or interfere with other users.
- Do not misuse the platform to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, and reports are weighted and geo-verified so a single actor cannot swing a grade.
Contributions
When you submit a report, a correction or a logged charge, you grant Voltu a licence to use that contribution to operate and improve the service, including publishing it in de-identified, aggregate form (for example a site’s success rate). You keep ownership of what you submit.
Reliability information is advisory
Success rates, “last confirmed working”, access notes and price estimates are built from crowd reports and open data. They are our best honest read, not a promise. We are explicit about this in the product: we never claim a charger is available right now, only when it was last confirmed working, and we withhold a grade until enough reports earn it.
Payments
Voltu never holds your money. You pay the charging operator directly, through your own UPI app or a UPI mandate that the operator collects. The tariff, the final amount, refunds and any idle fees are set and handled by the operator. We show you what we can and keep a receipt, but a billing dispute is between you and the operator, and we will help where we can.
Operators and networks
Starting and settling a charge may happen over the open national network (UEI) or an operator’s own system. Their terms apply to the charging session itself. We do not control their pricing, uptime or policies, and we do not reserve or hold a bay for you.
Liability
The service is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent the law allows, Voltu’s liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for a charger that does not work, for an operator’s pricing or conduct, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to arbitration seated in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We may update these terms and will note the version and date above; when a promise is removed, we print it with its reason rather than deleting it quietly. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app. Questions: legal@voltu.energy.
